GY800 motor protection device is indispensable protection device for the motor industry and the modern economy development, It is made by wide temperature and low power consumption 16 bit industrial smart integrated circuit, independent property right and software copyright. It can do the collection, calculation,analysis, measure &control,protection, alarming,monitor and interlock of the motor signal while the motor is functioning. GY800 motor protection device uses the LCD screen to display all the functioning motor’s datas like three-phase voltage,three-phase current,power factor,each time/total electricity,rate,power,error message,alarming value,total operating time and so on to complete the remote automatic control,direct control ,terminal control,forward and reverse stratup control,star triangle startup control,auto step-down control,direct bypass control to the motor。Its fieldbus RS5485 interfaces support various protocols which can be used in many microcomputer industrial control configuration software to complete the network communication management,on the other hand, it can also connect with the DCS system by the way of 4-20 Ma variable signal output, then transmit and output the operating parameters of the motor to form a distributed integrated electric power monitoring system to carry out a variety of control such as remote measurement&control,remote communication, remote control, protection, setting. Overload control protection |
when the motor is overload,the over current will be calculated according to the motor heat capacity tracking.Fully considered the motor rotor and stator’s temperature rise and the influence to the motor heating because of the three-phase unbalance.When the current reached the control protection value,the device will do the alarming and notice the shutdown delay time. |

Leakage (earth)protection |
Judge the leakage fault by using the zero sequence current transformer to measure the protective conductor(PE)or (PEN)’s short-circuit leakage current value.When the short-circuit leakage current value is bigger than the set leakage value, the device will do the alarming and notice the shutdown delay time. |

Electric shock protection |
The protection device monitors the equipment’s voltage continuously, when the system voltage recovered after the moment dropped,the motor can start again. |

Timeout protection |
The protection device inspects the start-up current delay time,when the equipment can bot be started up within the start-up delay time,and the three –phase current is 1.2 time bigger than set current,the timeout protection will function and the power will turn off. |
|||
Reversal protection |
When the protection device monitored the three-phase voltage sequence is not correct,the equipment can not start-up. |
|||
External fault protection |
When the device monitored the external switching value input signal is different from the device’s set switching value input signal,the device can not be started up. |

Forward and reverse start control
In this mode,The device controls the relay 1 to make the motor forward and the relay 2 to make the motor backward.When the device received stop command or any protection action,it will transmit the stop command to the relay 1 and relay 2 to stop the motor function.

Direct start control
Direct start is the equipment’s basic start type.When the device received the fieldbus or“I/O” start signal, output relay’s contact point will control the 1 closed.When the device received stop or any protection signal,the contact point will control the 1 opened.

Direct bypass start control
When the device received the fieldbus or “I/O” start signal,the output control relay 1 will output a pulse closing signal.When the device received the stop or any protection signal,the output control relay 3 will output a pulse closing signal to open the direct bypass start mode,the operation screen will not work soon, and can start or stop the motor through the external button.

Star-triangle start control
The equipment is in star shape wiring before be started, When the start current is below 1/3 of the triangle shape wiring’s current and the start torque is also below 1/3 of the triangle shape wiring’s torque,the equipment will begin the star step-down start and will do the star-triangle transformation if reached the transformation time,Then it will function in triangle wiring mode.
Need to follow the principles when setting parameters:change-over time(start time,the star -triangle transformation must be completed before the equipment is started up).

Autotransformer step-down start control
As the name implies, the equipment is started through the autotansformer step-down.The reduction of the start voltage aims at reducing the start current,and the start torque will also reduce at the same time.
